The Development Assessment Panel (DA Panel) was developed by Liverpool City Council to provide an additional review for certain types of applications which still have outstanding objections.
What is referred to the DA Panel?
- All Class 1 and 10 applications (dwellings and outbuildings such as pools) regardless of the number of objections;
- Subdivisions incorporating less than 20 allotments regardless of the number of objections; and
- All other application types that have two (2) or less objections. The Panel can refer any matter of a controversial nature to the Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel for their consideration.
Development Assessment Panel Members
The DA Panel consists of a Senior Building Surveyor, a Senior Planner, a Senior Engineer and a Manager from the City Development Unit. Representatives of each of the specialities may change from time to time, but all members are required to follow the same processes and Council's criteria for the assessment of each application.
