Mobility (disabled) parking
To obtain a Mobility (Disabled) Parking Permit, applications must be lodged with the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA). Please click on the following highlighted link for more information on the RTA website. Follow the links on the RTA website to view the information brochure to see whether you are eligible and fill out the application form.
There are 75 mobility spaces in the heart of the CBD, including off-street car parks. There is an additional on-street space on the southern side of Moore Street just west of Northumberland Street.
A valid Mobility Parking Scheme Label must be clearly displayed on the vehicle.

Parking fines
If you have received an infringement notice or parking ticket from a Liverpool City Council Ranger and you wish to pay or dispute the fine, you will need to contact the State Debt Recovery Office directly, either by phone or in writing.
Please refer to the State Debt Recovery Office website for further information.
Liverpool City Council is not able to negotiate the payment or cancellation of fines.
Parking Fine Fees as at 1 July 2007
- No Stopping $189
- Bus Zone $189
- No Parking $81
- Childrens Crossing (school zone) $324 + 2 demerit points
- Pedestrian Crossing $243 + 2 demerit points
- Double Park $189
- Loading zones $135
Increased fines and demerit points apply for offences when committed in a school zone.
Note: Your may be able to obtain a photograph of your vehicle by making an application to Council, through Council's Request for Access to Documents Form. A fee of $7.50 applies.
