Residential Development Strategy The Residential Development Strategy guides the development of Liverpool’s residential zoned land over the next 25 years. The strategy draws upon the Metropolitan Strategy and State Government dwelling targets, as well as statistical information on the area, a report on Western Sydney’s population, a report into transport disadvantage in Western Sydney and a Department of Housing market analysis.
Business Centres and Corridors Strategy The Business Centres and Corridors Strategy guides the development of Liverpool’s business zoned land, and to provide for an appropriate hierarchy of centres and corridors which will indicate the intensity of the business use.
Industrial Lands Strategy The Industrial Lands Strategy is intended to guide industrial development on industrially zoned land within Liverpool. It identified a need for greater clarity in zones, and to clearly differentiate between the various zones and uses, as well as identify future potential industrial lands.
Public Lands Strategy The Public Lands Strategy identifies land that is currently used for a public purpose such as parks and reserves, as well as encouraging multiple uses of the land, future needs for public land, and potential surplus lands.
Rural Lands Strategy The Rural Lands Strategy consolidates how the desired character of Liverpool’s rural lands are to be maintained, given that significant levels of rural lands will be developed as part of the South-West Growth Sector. It clearly differentiates between the rural residential and rural uses of land, as well as consolidate and maintain existing rural industries and agriculture.
