The Future of Liverpool Looks Bright For All Round Supplies

In July 2000 Earl Palfrey launched his business, All Round Supplies, from Hoxton Park with a couple of employees and high hopes for the future. Fifteen years down the track, All Round Supplies is Australia’s leading distributor of electrical infrastructure products and according to Earl the future looks bright.

A one-stop-shop for electrical infrastructure project materials, safety equipment and tooling, All Round Supplies distributes to the accredited service providers (ASPs) who are contracted to build and maintain the Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy networks. With more than 8,000 product lines, their inventory
includes street lights, high voltage cables, cable terminations and joints, kiosk substations, street lights, power poles and the associated safety equipment and tooling.

All Round Supplies has grown through capitalising on opportunities created through the privatisation of large-scale infrastructure projects in the energy sector during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The introduction of contestability for large-scale projects meant that ASPs were able to compete for projects that were previously the domain of State-controlled monopolies.Through established relationships with many of the world’s leading manufacturers, All Round Supplies was able to provide the best products, brands and services and quickly became a key supplier to these ASPs.

Since then, All Round Supplies has grown from strength to strength with branches in Liverpool, Beresfield (Newcastle) and Nowra on the NSW South Coast. With the launch of their online store, MyShopnGo, in early 2016 the business is now also supplying customers across Australia from their warehouse facility in Prestons.

In its 15-year history, the business has relocated three times – all within half-a-kilometre of the original warehouse location in Hoxton Park. Originally, Earl set up the business in Liverpool for the simple reason that it was close to home. But over the years, he’s recognised that being located in the fastest-growing region in the State has been a significant benefit to his business.  “On both a personal and professional front, it’s great to be in a central location with a good transport hub. And with the boom in development and new housing estates requiring electrical infrastructure, we are ideally located to service the new development area of Sydney,” Earl said.
