Clean up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day is the largest community Environmental-event of it's kind in Australia.

Every year, on the first Sunday of March, hundreds of thousands of Australians help clean up their environment on Clean Up Australia Day.

Clean Up Australia Day for Schools

Clean Up Australia Day for Schools is a great opportunity for schools to be active in the local community. By getting involved in Clean Up, students learn about the impact of rubbish on our natural environment while enhancing their community service skills. Council supports schools who partake in Clean Up Australia Day for Schools by providing bags, gloves and free garbage collection.

Liverpool City Council urges everyone to play a part in sustaining Liverpool by joining Clean Up Australia Day. It's fun, easy and everyone can take part.

Clean Up Australia Day is a fantastic introduction to Council’s volunteer programs which provide people with an understanding and appreciation of their natural environment in a fun and social environment.

Everyone can take part.  Individuals and local groups can either organise a clean up site or join an existing site.  Participants are encouraged to bring sunscreen, a bottle of water and wear a hat and closed in shoes.
