Multicultural Strategy and Action Plan 2015-2017

Multicultural Strategy and Action Plan 2015-2017

The development of Liverpool City Council’s Multicultural Strategy has been guided by the broad principles of social justice and is underpinned by principles adopted at State, National and Local Government. Council thus has an important role to play in the development of a socially just, healthy, inclusive and sustainable community where all members, irrespective of their ability, social, ethnic or economic background, can fully and fairly participate in community life.

The four principles that guide Liverpool City Council’s Multicultural Action Plan are:

  • Leadership and capacity building
  • Access and equity
  • Community harmony; and
  • Economic and cultural opportunities
