Mayor Wendy Waller congratulates HSC students

This year’s crop of HSC students received their marks this morning and Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller extended her congratulations to all of them.

“I would like to congratulate this year’s HSC graduates, not only for the results they received today but for their hard work over 13 years of schooling,” Mayor Waller said.

“Getting through the HSC is a major achievement and I wish each student well in whatever direction they choose to take their lives.”

Five students from Liverpool achieved the top results in NSW for their subject:

  • Rand Muthanna Hameed Al-Badri, from Liverpool Boys High School Saturday School of Community Languages, came first in Arabic Continuers;
  • Sundos Atasi, from Liverpool Boys High School Saturday School of Community Languages, came first in Arabic Extension;
  • Matthew Somodvarac, from Liverpool Boys High School Saturday School of Community Languages, came first in Croatian Continuers;
  • Napoleon Lendoudis, from Holsworthy High School came first in the Information and Digital Technology; and
  • Jordan Pasqua, from Good Samaritan Catholic College, came first in Business Services.

“It is truly wonderful to see students working hard and excelling, but to those who may not have received the marks they hoped for – there are many paths to a bright future and the HSC is only one,” Mayor Waller said.
