Liverpool City Council reaching out to all members of the community

7 November 2017

Council is heading out and about in November with a full Council meeting in Austral and a range of District Forums to encourage residents to participate in community-led projects and share their ideas.

“Council is committed to reaching out to all members of our community, not just those who live in the Liverpool CBD,” said Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller

“That’s why we have these District Forums and that’s why the next Council meeting will be at The Junction Works, in Austral, at 6pm on 22 November 2017. All members of the public are welcome to attend.

“The District Forums are a great way for residents to have their say. We know our residents are passionate about their local area and it is important that their views are heard, especially in plans that directly affect them.

“Planning works best in partnership and the District Forums develop and strengthen strong community bonds between Council and the community.

“Each of the forums is chaired by a Councillor and participants’ input will help shape and inform Council in its decision-making. We encourage residents to attend and speak on matters important to them.”

The Liverpool local government area is divided up into a number of separate districts, such as the Rural District (Badgerys Creek, Bringelly, Kemps Creek), New Release District (Austral, Carnes Hill, Middleton Grange) and Eastern District (Chipping Norton, Moorebank and Holsworthy). The District Forums are as follows:

  • Established District Monday 13 November – Casula Community Centre, 6:00pm-8:00pm
