The exchange program
In 1992, a sister city relationship between the cities of Toda (Japan) and Liverpool was established.
The Toda/Liverpool Sister City Student Exchange Program is a leading example of local government working in partnership with the school community and Liverpool families.
To strengthen the current community based programs that encourage the regular exchange of information as well as sporting, cultural and student groups.
To enhance economic development and new business opportunities with each Sister City through participation by business people and community representatives.
To promote the development of participant's skills.
To establish long term relationships between fellow exchange students and community members and their respective families.
To gain a deeper understanding of other cultures, countries and their history by the Liverpool community.
