I have been a resident of Liverpool for more than 50 years and this is my third term on Council. I was elected Mayor by popular vote on 13 September 2008 becoming the first woman to hold this position.

I have had involvement in Council activities in differing roles for nearly 30 years with my interest in Local Government coming from being involved in community activities as a resident and as a mother over those years.

I see Liverpool as a City on the move with great talent and potential. I believe it's Councils role to champion Liverpool at every opportunity and to manage growth which is happening now and into the future so we are able to offer the best opportunities to current and future residents.
