Liverpool City Council is bringing back its epic New Years Eve celebration for ONE amazing night. This iconic event will feature the very best entertainment for families to ring in the New Year. From carnival rides to live performances and fireworks - Liverpool's New Years Eve celebration is the place to be on 31 December!

BY CAR:

Parking is available at Warwick Farm Racecourse via Gate C (access from Hume Highway) or via Governor Macquarie Drive. Keep an eye out for event signs indicating parking is full.

BY FOOT:

Warwick Farm Racecourse is an approximate 16-minute walk from Warwick Farm Station along the Hume Highway.

There is no pedestrian access on Governor Macquarie Drive.

Shuttle

Free shuttles will leave Warwick Street, Warwick Farm and College Street, Liverpool on rotation every 20-30 min. Parking is available at the Commuter Parking, Warwick Farm Station and at Warren Service Way.

  • First shuttles depart Liverpool & Warwick Farm at 4pm
  • Last shuttles depart Liverpool & Warwick Farm at 8pm
  • Final return shuttle departs NYE event at Warwick Farm Racecourse at 10:30pm.

Warwick Farm Station has free parking for 18 hours with an Opal card.

Unrestricted free parking is available from Warren Serviceway, where you can catch the train to Warwick Farm or our free shuttle bus from the corner of Bigge & College Street.

The New Years Eve event will take place at the Australia Turf Club (ATC), in Warwick Farm.

What time does the event start?

The event will commence on Sunday 31 December 2023 from 5pm and will finish at 10pm.

What is going to be at the event?

The New Years Eve event will feature carnival rides and showbags, a live stage program, food and drink vendors and fireworks at 9pm.

Will I be searched upon entry?

Security bag checks will be enforced upon entry to the event. Please check our “prohibited items” list below to ensure you are aware of what not to bring to the New Years Eve event.

For safety reasons, Council staff, event crew and security reserve the right to check your bags upon entry and during the event and will confiscate any prohibited items such as alcohol or weapons.

Will there be food? Are there vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options?

There will be various food and drink vendors on site offering vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Does this event have alcohol?

Yes, the Australian Turf Club (ATC) has an in-house bar on site that will have alcohol available to purchase for any patrons 18 and over.

Can I smoke at this event?

Smoking and electronic cigarettes are permitted only in designated areas.

Can I bring an esky/BBQ/shade structures?

For safety reasons, you are unable to bring your own esky/barbecue or shade structures.

Picnic mats and rugs are permitted.

What items are prohibited?

Items prohibited at the New Years Eve event include:

  • Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
  • Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
  • Drones or any other remote-controlled devices;
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards or skates;
  • Animals (excluding service animals);
  • Eskies, barbecues or shade structures;
  • Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
  • Knives or scissors;
  • Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
  • Laser pointers;
  • Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless prior approve by Council; and
  • Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not allowed at this event.

Can I take photos/film at the event?

Photos can be taken for personal use. We encourage attendees to post photos to social media and tag @LiverpoolCityCouncil and use the hashtag #lovelivo.

Professional photography (including the use of tripods for safety reasons) will not be permitted without prior consent from Liverpool City Council’s Communications Team.

Are there ATMs on site?

ATM’s will not be available on site.

I am a local resident – how will this affect me?

There are no road closures in place for this event.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage vehicles, parking and pedestrians. Please follow the directions of traffic controllers and take note of any event signage.

What happens if it rains?

The show must go on! If weather conditions become extreme and pose risk to attendees, performers and crew, the event may be cancelled. Notification will be provided via Council’s social media channels.
