Liverpool City has over 250 parks - green open spaces, many with barbecue facilities, picnic areas, walkways and cycleways, play equipment and sporting fields.
Liverpool City is also home to two of Sydney's most significant rivers - the Georges River and Hawkesbury-Nepean River. Both offer numerous locations to take in the relaxing vistas.
Use of Liverpool City Council's parks is free to individuals and groups.

Bents Basin State Recreation Area
The Bents Basin State Recreation Area provides a relaxing atmosphere for a picnic lunch or a swim in the basin or a warm day. With its beautiful bushland setting, the recreational site contains caravan and camping grounds, as well as picnic facilities for day visits.
