School Zones are areas that require particular care and attention by Council Rangers and Parking Patrol Officers.

School Zone offences carry demerit points.

Council’s Rangers and Parking Patrol Officers patrol all 76 Schools in the Liverpool area.

Liverpool City Council is one of the most pro-active Councils when it comes to monitoring School Zones.  The Rangers and Parking Patrol Officers will inspect for appropriate signage, make recommendations to traffic flow, monitor parents behavior and issue infringement notices.

Council Officers also work with the Police to ensure all safety aspects around schools are addressed.

Council is committed to ensure that children are kept safe when travelling to and from school.

Most parents do the right thing, it is only the minority that break the rules and put all children, including their own, in danger.
