Council delivers free parking in the City Centre
Council has made some major changes to its on-street parking. These changes aim to make parking easier for motorists visiting the City Centre and also support local businesses. You can take advantage of 15 minute free parking and free all-day parking all day on Saturdays when you next visit Liverpool. Council implemented 15 minute free parking on Monday 14 October and free parking on Saturdays 19 October.
Turning off the meters on Saturdays and providing 15 minute free parking is one of the ways Council is demonstrating its commitment to working with local residents and business owners.
To obtain your 15 minute free parking ticket press the minus "-" button followed by the "Print" button and display the ticket on the dash of your car. Motorists must display a 15 minute ticket in order to qualify for the free parking.
In other parking reforms, regular commuters to Liverpool can take advantage of all day parking on Monday to Friday at Warren Service Way car park for either $99 per month or $30 per week on levels 3, 4 and 5 or at the Northumberland Street car park for $7 per day on levels 1 and 2.

Liverpool City Council aims to improve parking availability for residents, visitors and business operators within the City Centre by introducing a range of permits through Council's Permit Parking Policy. A major objective of the Permit Parking Policy is to improve availability of on-street parking for residents who do not have access to any off-street parking. The Policy was developed in line with the mandatory procedures set down by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).
Parking permits would exempt resident, visitor and business operator vehicles from some kerbside time restrictions and parking fees through Resident/Business Parking Permit Schemes.
To be eligible for a parking permit, you must be a resident/business operator within the Liverpool City Centre where ticketed parking applies and have no access to any off-street parking.
