Mobile Phone Recycling

Recycle your old mobile phones and accessories

Did you know that you can recycle your old mobile phones, batteries and accessories? Over 90% of mobile phone components are recyclable and are reused to make new products such as stainless steel, plastic fence posts and jewellery.

Mobile phones which are disposed of to landfill are capable of leaching potentially hazardous materials into the soil and ground water. Liverpool City Council has partnered with MobileMuster, a not-for-profit recycling program funded voluntarily by the majority of handset manufacturers and all network carriers.

All mobile phone components are dismantled and recycled. Simply dispose of your mobile phone, batteries and accessories at Liverpool City Council's Community Recycling Centre located at 99 Rose Street, Liverpool.

The Community Recycling Centre is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 3pm.
