Sporting grants program
     
Local sporting groups are encouraged to participate in Council's Sporting Grants Program.

Council has committed $100,000 over four years (2006-2009) towards promoting and developing junior sport (under 16's) within the Liverpool local government area.

Council will offer grants up to $5,000, totalling $25,000 per year, for junior sporting groups/clubs in Liverpool over the four years as part of its Sporting Grants Program.

Sporting groups/clubs can apply for a grant under one of five categories, including:

  • Sports development
  • Ground development and maintenance equipment
  • Sporting equipment
  • Education 
  • Club diversity.

The Sporting Grants Program is offered each year in February/March and closes late April.
