The Water Savings Action Plan (WSAP) is a plan for water conservation and demand management for Council's operations, providing Council with a strategic direction for water management.
Since 2002/03 Council has reduced its water consumption by 84,534 kL of water per year. Actions implemented under the Water Savings Action Plan include:
- Retrofitting of taps, showerheads, toilets and urinals at Council's top ten water using sites
- Retrofitting of taps, showerheads, toilets and urinals at Council's community centres, libraries, childcare centres, parks and reserves
- Installation of educational water saving signage at all of Council's facilities
This document is under review and an updated plan will be produced in 2012.
