Council Calls For Planning Panel Nominations

Liverpool City Council is looking for local people interested in the future of their community to join its Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel (IHAP).

The Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel will determine planning applications for local development valued between $5 million and $30 million.

Nominations are open for the appointment of Community Representatives to the panel.

The IHAP will consist of three independent experts and representatives of the local community.

Your role as an IHAP member is a part-time, paid role starting in March 2018. The position will be paid in accordance with rates to be set by the NSW Government. Further details will be provided on this shortly.

You will be expected to contribute constructively to panel discussions, attend around 15 meetings a year, and help determine applications for new development in your area.  Membership of the panel is for up to three years.

Mayors, Councillors, property developers and real estate agents are not eligible to apply.

Applications must be completely uploaded as a pdf file to quotations@liverpool.nsw.gov.au by 3pm Wednesday 17 January 2018.

Canvassing of Councillors or Council staff will disqualify prospective applicants. Late offers or offers received by any other means will not be considered.
