National Tree Day

National Tree Day When: 30th Jul 2017 9:00am-12:00pm Where: Brownes Farm Reserve - end of First Ave, Hoxton Park Category: Environment Events
National Tree Day is Australia's biggest community tree-planting event!

Liverpool City Council is once again inviting local residents and their families to help celebrate the biggest tree planting event of the year. National Tree Day is an opportunity to get outside in nature and do something positive for your local environment and community. It is a fun day out for the whole family – planting a tree is an activity that everyone can enjoy.

Planting locally native plants will provide food and shelter for native wildlife and enhance the amenity of the local area. There will be a face painter on site for children, an interactive native wildlife display for everyone to enjoy and a BBQ for everyone who helps out on the day.

Participants are reminded to wear enclosed shoes, a hat, sunscreen and a long sleeved shirt, and to bring a water bottle and gloves if they have them. Council will provide all tools and refreshments, including a free BBQ lunch for all participants.
