Liverpool City Council is seeking Volunteer Expressions of Interest to assist in the delivery of the NYE: Light Up The Lake event on 31 December 2018 at Grand Flaneur Beach, Chipping Norton Lakes.

Positions are limited, not all applications will be successful. Council reserves the right to use its discretion to accept or decline any Expression of Interest.

Stallholder - Australia Day 2019

Date: Saturday 26 January 2019

Time: 5pm – 10pm

Location: Woodward Park, Liverpool

Liverpool City Council is seeking Stallholder Expressions of Interest to trade at Australia Day on Saturday 26 January 2019 at Woodward Park, Liverpool.

As spaces are limited, not all applications will be successful in obtaining a space. Council reserves the right to use its discretion to accept or decline any Expressions of Interest. Council will not be required to provide you with any reason if your Expression of Interest is not successful.

Applications close on 30 November 2018.

Further information may be requested once your application has been successful. All stallholders must have a valid public liability cover before participating at any of the events.

Tourism and CBD Committee

Liverpool City Council resolved, at its meeting on Wednesday 26 September 2018, to call for expressions of interest for up to 10 nominations from persons who live, work in and/ or own businesses within the Liverpool LGA to be appointed by Council to the Liverpool Tourism and CBD Committee, an advisory committee to Council. Council will appoint community representatives for an initial term of two years. Committee members serve in a voluntary capacity.

The functions of the Committee are to:

  1. Raise local economic, social and cultural development issues, and make recommendations for solutions and actions;
  2. Advise on the development and implementation of the City Activation Strategy;
  3. Advise on the development and implementation of the Destination Management Plan;
  4. Create, seek and lobby for opportunities that can enhance the visitor economy and/or provide an economic benefit to Liverpool; and
  5. Report recommendations to council for decisions to be made against Council’s overall strategic direction.

The first meeting of the Committee for 2018 is expected to be held in December 2018. Further meetings will be held bi-monthly.

Council will receive expressions of interest for Committee membership up until 5:00pm on Friday 26 October 2018.

Major Event Stall Expression of Interest

Liverpool City Council Events Team are seeking Expressions of Interest from Stallholders to register to trade at Council's Major Events. This includes food, information, promotions, crafts etc.

Further information may be requested once your application has been successful. All stallholders must have a valid public liability cover before participating at any of the events.

Performer Expression of Interest

Liverpool City Council Event Coordinators are seeking Expressions of Interest from performers and entertainers who would like to showcase their talents at any of the major events held in Liverpool between July 2018 – January 2019.

It must be noted that a range of entertainers will be secured, pending requirements of the event. Not all applicants will be successful, however information will be added to the Liverpool City Council entertainment database for future consideration. Successful performers/entertainers will be contacted via phone to confirm their availability.

Liverpool Council has an exciting calendar of annual and one-off events that cater for many audiences. By filling out this form, you accept that your details may be forwarded on to other teams in Council seeking potential performers for various Council incentives.

Performer applications will close one month before each event date. Performers whom send their application after the closing date will be added to our performer database and may be contacted in the future. Please contact our Events Team if you wish to be removed from this database at any time.

Liverpool Pop Up Project (6 month occupancy)

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from start-ups, social enterprises, community groups or artists to set up a temporary retail shop for the Liverpool Pop Up Project.

The aim of this project is to develop a vibrant and interesting destination that attracts visitors to the area and encourage greater activation of the southern end of the CBD.  The Pop Up site is located at the Northumberland Street Arcade. The arcade forms part of a chain of arcades that enable pedestrians to cross the CBD whilst enjoying an eclectic mix of retail, hospitality and professional services. The shopfront will provide visitors with a memorable retail experience both in terms of the unique products/services on offer and how customers are engaged.

Potential Pop Up concepts could include:

  • Studio or gallery which has artworks for purchase;
  • Hybrid businesses that combine two or more products/services, for example: a book exchange and hand-made artisan products or a tea shop (packaged) and florist;
  • Artist co-op selling a range of products from local artists and engaging customers through sharing the stories of the makers;
  • Made to fit upcycled clothing store.

There are two shopfronts available during this EOI application round.
