Liverpool on a Roll is a new food festival which celebrates the city’s multicultural community, showcasing international bites and beats at the picturesque Greenway Park.
Food stalls will sell tasty treats presented “on a roll”, so visitors can expect to try burgers, banh mi, burritos and much more! There’ll also be live entertainment, giveaways, garden games, market stalls selling seasonal local produce and a pop-up beer garden with Pimm's cocktails.
The event will be held from 5pm - 10pm on Saturday 30 March at Greenway Park, West Hoxton.

Will I be searched upon entry?
Security bag checks will be enforced upon entry to the event. Please check our ‘prohibited items’ list below to ensure you are aware of what not to bring to our Australia Day event.
For safety reasons, Council staff, event crew and security reserve the right to check your bags upon entry and during the event, and will confiscate any prohibited items such as alcohol.
Can we bring our own food?
You sure can, but why would you? There will be plenty of tasty and affordable food options that cater for every dietary requirement. Food items will be $12 or less.

Can we bring our own alcohol?
You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol. There will be a licensed beer garden at the event. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult if entering the beer garden.
Can I smoke at the event?
Smoking, including by way of electronic cigarettes or vaporisers, is only permitted in the designated smoking area.
Can I bring in chairs / eskies / BBQs / shade structures?
For safety reasons, you are unable to bring your own chairs / esky / barbeque or shade structure. There will be plenty of seating available and the gentle slopes are a great spot to lay down a picnic blanket.
What items are prohibited?
Items prohibited at Liverpool On A Roll include:
- Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
- Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
- Chairs, eskies, barbeques or shade structures;
- Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
- Knives or Scissors;
- Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
- Laser pointers;
- Drones or any other remote-controlled device;
- Bicycles, Scooters, Skateboards or skates;
- Animals (excluding service animals);
- Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless approved by Council); and
- Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.
Can I bring my pet?
For the safety of pets – particularly when it comes to loud noise from entertainment – animals are not permitted on the event grounds.
Can I take photos / film at the event?
Photos can be taken for personal use. Professional photography (including the use of tripods for safety reasons) will not be permitted on the night without prior consent from Liverpool City Council’s Communications team. Are there ATMs on site?
There will be multiple ATMs located on site. Many of the stallholders will also have EFTPOS facilities.
Will there be fireworks?
The focus of this event is on food, not fireworks. Therefore there will be no fireworks at Liverpool On A Roll, but don’t let that stop you from swinging by to join in the festivities.
What happens if it rains?
The show must go on! If weather conditions become extreme and pose risk to attendees, performers and crew, the event may be cancelled. Notification will be provided via Council’s social media channels.

Liverpool on a Roll is a concept-driven food festival – dishes are to be served in or on a roll. Food vendor proposals will be judged on selection criteria and chosen based on the strength of the concept and the cultural offering.
