We’re excited to bring our annual Seniors Concert to you again - though we’re doing things a little differently this year.

The event has been reimagined to a decadent high-tea, concert, and exhibition where you can meet service providers in the area to learn what exciting initiatives and activities are on offer for seniors in Liverpool.

Pre-booked tickets are essential and will be available to reserve from 9am Thursday 1 April 2021.

The event will be held at the Liverpool Catholic Club and feature a day of fantastic live performances, high tea and expo of local businesses and services.

Liverpool City Council is a COVID-safe business and the health of our community is our main priority, tickets will be limited to manage capacities.

Memoir Writing

Ever wanted to write a memoir?

This free 2 hour workshop with Keith Whelan will take you through how to plan and begin a memoir. You will also complete multiple writing exercises in recalling people, places, and events, readings from published memoirs, discussion of the tension between emotional and factual truth, ideas about truth-telling for memoirists, one-on-one sharing and critique, and advice on publishing.

Keith Whelan is a published author with over 15 years experience in creative writing.

Seniors Choir

Antegra Harmonics is a voluntary Community Choir which has been running for more than four years. All members are residents of Antegra Estate Retirement Village at Leppington. Consisting of 20-25 performers, the choir will sing classic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

In this one-hour information session, locals can learn all about how to maximise the success of their compost bin or worm farm, make an informed choice about which might suit their household, and receive information on how to apply for a rebate from Liverpool City Council.

High Tea and Museum Tour for Carers

A social event for anyone caring for an elderly, disabled or unwell relative. Will include a tour of the Ray Hely exhibition, followed by morning tea.

Liverpool City Council, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and NSW Seniors Festival are hosting an exhibition involving local schools and a nursing home around Liverpool to foster better intergenerational dialogue.

This workshop will feature at the Seniors Concert on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 April 2021 at the Liverpool Catholic Club and at Casula Library from Wednesday 21 April to Monday 3 May.
