NSW Seniors Festival in Liverpool 2022 Program

There are plenty of opportunities to reconnect throughout the week with Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Liverpool City Library and Liverpool Regional Museum hosting an extensive program of free and affordable events.

The Song Catchers - Seniors Matinee Season

The Song Catchers is a tribute to iconic recording artists Shirley Bassey, Peter Allen and Karen Carpenter by three talented performers and will be accompanied by complimentary tea or coffee and cake.

Guided Library Tour

Friday 25 March | 10.30am-11.30am | Moorebank Library | Book here

Come along for a curated tour of the library, including our physical collections as well as the services you can access. Then stay for a morning tea and hear about how you can get involved in a local research project led by the University of Wollongong that looks at the impact of Covid on community transport.

Relax at the library and be serenaded by the delightful Antegra Harmonics Choir, followed by morning tea.


My Aged Care Information Session

Wednesdy 30 March | 10am-10.45am | Casula Library | Book here

In this free session you will learn more about the Australian aged care system, including My Aged Care and how you can access services and benefits. Followed by morning tea and a chat with your local librarian.

Liverpool City Council’s Seniors Concert, High Tea and Expo will be returning for NSW Seniors Festival in 2022 (25 March – 3 April).

This event will replicate the highly successful format introduced for Council’s 2021 event, combining a High Tea, light entertainment and an expo of up to 25 organisations working to improve the quality of life of seniors in the Liverpool community.

In the spirit of the NSW Seniors Festival, this event will encourage seniors to ‘reconnect’ with fellow seniors and providers in the local community all while enjoying a fabulous day outing.

Do I need a ticket to attend the Concert?

Yes, this is a ticketed event. Tickets will be released on Wednesday 9th March 2022 and can be booked via our Humanitix page.

Although capacity restrictions in NSW have eased, our highest priority is ensuring the safety of attendees by providing a comfortably spaced experience that permits social distancing.

How many tickets can I get per booking?

As tickets are limited a maximum of two (2) tickets per household.

Where can I book tickets?

Tickets can be booked three ways:

  • Online via our Humanitix page;
  • Over the phone on 1300 36 2170 or 02 8711 7123; or
  • Visiting Liverpool City Council Customer Service Desk (33 Moore Street Liverpool NSW 2170)  or Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (1 Powerhouse Road Casula NSW 2170 access via Shepherd Street Liverpool)

Do I need a ticket to attend the expo?

No this is separated, and no ticket is required to attend this exhibition.

Where is it located?

The location for Seniors Concert has been changed this year and will be held at The William Inglis Hotel in the Sales Arena Room (155 Governor Macquarie Drive, Warwick Farm).

What time does the event begin?

The start times are as follows:

High Tea: 10am Concert: 10:30am Expo: 10am-2pm

Is this event COVID-safe?

Council closely monitors the Public Health Order and this event will be subject to any restrictions at the time. Please follow our Facebook event for regular updates. COVID-19 guidelines are subject to change based on advice from NSW health.

Please do not attend the event if;

  • You are showing symptoms or feeling unwell; and/or
  • You have recently been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case and have been ordered to self-isolate.

Do you require vaccination status for entry?

Following the guidelines of The William Inglis Hotel, showing proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not a requirement of entry into the venue.

Is there disabled access / parking at this event?

Accessible parking is available onsite at the designated spaces.

Are there vegan / vegetarian / gluten free options?

When booking tickets please disclose any dietary requirements you have upon confirmation.

Is there alcohol at the event?

This is an alcoholic-free event.

Where are the toilets located?

Toilets are located at the venue’s foyer near the registration desk.

Can I take photos / film at the event?

Photos can be taken for personal use. We encourage attendees to share their experience of the event on social media using Council’s personalised hashtag #LoveLivo.
