Have your say on Gibbs Park upgrade

Gibbs Park in Sadleir will soon be receiving a much-needed makeover and residents are invited to have their say on the planned improvements.

Mayor Ned Mannoun said the proposed design for Gibbs Park will see the space come to life with the addition of a new children’s playground along with a shade structure, new park furniture, and landscape improvements consisting of new garden beds and additional trees to add a further element of greenery to the park.

“I want locals to share their thoughts to ensure that council creates a space the community will not only utilise but one they will love,” Mayor Mannoun said.

“We are committed to delivering spaces that our community will enjoy, and this proposed upgrade will see Gibbs Park transform from its current state as a bare thoroughfare that merely serves to connect two roads, to a quality family friendly recreation area.

“This phase of the community consultation will ensure that all residents have the opportunity to tell us if there are any additional recreation improvements they would like to see within the area in addition to the proposed design.

“We want to revitalise and modernise this park and create a great open space where our community can gather and have plenty of fun outdoors – so make sure you share your feedback.”
