Book Week a real treat for young readers

Young bookworms are in for a treat as Liverpool City Library celebrates Book Week 2020 with a range of free activities online and in-person at Library branches, including virtual question and answer sessions with much-loved Australian author Jackie French.

“Book Week is always a wonderful time to remind ourselves of the joys of the written word and Liverpool City Library is ready to celebrate across its branches, as well as online via the Liverpool City Library Facebook page,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.

“The week includes Jackie French’s personalised video responses to questions asked by her young fans, the chance to meet Australian animals and even an opportunity to create your own curious creatures at a special craft session.

“Liverpool City Library also has a range of free school holiday activities in store for youngsters, though it’s essential you book for some so you don’t miss out,” Mayor Waller said.
