Council is required under the Local Government Act to alter its Ward Boundaries so that there is less than 10% variation between the number of electors in each ward.
Currently, there is a 13% variance, with North Ward having 63,925 electors and South Ward having 74,188.
Council has resolved to place five options on public exhibition. Each option will reduce the variance to less than 10%. Four options involve altering the current ward boundaries to move more electors into the North Ward. One option replaces the North and South wards with East and West wards.
Written submissions are invited from the public and should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer by close of business on Thursday 12 September 2019. Submissions must be made in writing to Locked Bag 7064, Liverpool BC, NSW 1871 or by email to email@example.com quoting ref. 2019/3481. Should you require any further information on this project, please contact George Georgakis on 8711 7584 or email GeorgakisG@liverpool.nsw.gov.au.

Rossmore and the southern part of Austral move to North Ward (almost 3,000 electors moved to North Ward), resulting in a 6.62% variance (South Ward being higher).
All of Rossmore and the area east of Nuwarra Road, Moorebank move to North Ward (almost 3,400 electors moved to North Ward), resulting in 4.93% variance (South Ward being higher).
The northern portion of Moorebank moves to North Ward (about 7,000 electors moved to North Ward), resulting in a 5.49% variance (North Ward being higher).
North and South wards are replaced by West and East wards, resulting in a 8.74% variance (East Ward being higher).
All of Liverpool moves into North Ward (it is currently divided between the North and South wards with Hoxton Park Road, Macquarie Street, Terminus Street and Newbridge Road being the boundary). This would result in almost 5,400 electors being moved into North Ward, resulting in a variance of 0.5% (North Ward being higher).
