National Tree Day

Sunday, 28 July 2019 | 9am - 12pm | Environment Events

Join us at a special tree planting event to celebrate National Tree Day. Endorsed by Planet Ark and sponsored by Toyota, National Tree Day was established in 1996 as a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. It's a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun!

Come along, plant a tree and learn why this area of Liverpool is so special – you can help Council to expand the ongoing bush regeneration works already being done at Brownes Farm Reserve.

Council provides all plants, tools and a planting demonstration. There will be a free BBQ lunch for everyone who lends a hand, face painting for the kids and the opportunity to get up close and personal to some of our beautiful native animals.

Planting is suitable for all ages so bring your family and friends!

Time: 9am - 12pm.

The best way to access the park is at the end of First Ave, Hoxton Park. There is free car park available at the other side of the sports field. We will be planting close to the bushland behind the houses and sports oval. You will see the purple Council marquee and banners.
