International Day of People Living with Disability

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on 3 December each year.

IDPwD is a United Nations observed day aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

The Australian Government has been supporting IDPwD since 1996 and provides funds to promote and raise awareness of the day and support activities around Australia.

In 2021 Liverpool City Council will be celebrating through the showcase of performances in the theatre at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre on the 2nd of December 2021. The performances will be from 11-12pm and are expected to be 3-5 minutes long. Performances can be song, music, dance, comedy, theatrics…hula hooping! All expressions are welcomed. Videos and voice memos will be accepted as submission formats.

By submitting this Expression of Interest all performers and entertainers within your group agree to the following:

All performances and performers are expected to be professional, and not undertake any behaviour or acts that may be seen as offensive. This also includes the use of recorded or live music using offensive language.
The applicant agrees to cooperate with Council on all matters related to the delivery of the Event.
Please be aware that photographs or videos taken of your group or for the event will be the property of Liverpool City Council, which reserves the right to use these images and video for future marketing or promotional materials.
The applicant understands that Council reserves the right to cancel the application (and its inclusion in the Event) if the applicant does not comply with Council’s requirements or these terms and conditions.
