Community Venues

There are many Council-owned community centres, meeting rooms and offices in Liverpool that are available to hire for a variety of purposes including weddings and receptions, birthday parties, exhibitions, business functions, dramas and musicals, club and group meetings, dances, conferences and cultural and religious events.

Please refer to the relevant Terms and Conditions for more information on hiring a Council community venue.

COVID-19 Restrictions

When using Council’s community venues, you are required to abide by restrictions on public gatherings as mandated by NSW Government. Please refer to Council’s COVID-19 Fact Sheet for Casual Hire.

Expression of Interest - Offices for community organisations and micro-businesses

Dr James Pirie Community Centre
The Dr James Pirie Community Centre is used as a community welfare resource and houses educational and care services. The centre is not for casual hire.
Heckenberg Child Care Centre
Heckenberg Child Care Centre currently has a tenant Share Care disability support services and is not for casual hire.
Chipping Norton Recreation Centre (The Lakes Boatshed)
Situated by the Chipping Norton Lakes in Angle Park, the Chipping Norton Recreation Centre, best known as the Boatshed, has timber flooring, high ceilings and large windows.
Hinchinbrook Community Centre
Hinchinbrook Community Centre is a fully accessible multi‑purpose facility with a secure car park.
Meals on Wheels
Meals On Wheels is located at 92 Memorial Drive Liverpool. The facility is not available for casual hire.
