These include conditions such as ADHD, high functioning Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, fine and gross motor delays and speech and language delays. The children are often anxious, have trouble communicating and interacting with others, and many have behavioural issues. In the later years they are often challenged in literacy, numeracy and impacting on their ability to complete education and participate in the community.

Fairstart Early Intervention provides a range of intervention supports that are designed to meet the individual needs of the child, their families and communities, in order to promote development, wellbeing and community participation.

Fairstart works in partnership with families and service providers to support the development and inclusion of young children with disabilities in their natural environments and in their everyday experiences and activities.

Fairstart Early Intervention assists families to learn how to support and nurture their child’s development, and how to adapt positively to having a child with a disability or a developmental delay. Families are empowered to embrace this crucial period of early childhood development by providing positive learning experiences that lay the foundations of future development.

Fairstart Early Intervention:

KidsXpress is a program that addresses the link between childhood trauma and adverse life outcomes. The KidsXpress Group Expressive Therapy Program utilises music, art, drama and play therapies to help children address traumatic life challenges. Fully approved as an Evidence-Based Program by the DSS, and facilitated by qualified therapists, this targeted group-based program enables children to express themselves in a safe and supported space.
