30km/h Speed Limit in Liverpool CBD

Overview

Liverpool Council is seeking community feedback regarding the Transport for NSW trial of a 30km/hr High Pedestrian Activity Area (HPAA) in the Liverpool CBD.

The NSW Government implemented the 30km/hr speed limit in the city centre in July 2020, as a COVID -19 response to support more active travel and reduce accidents.

Note: Translation of NSW Government-speak.  Active travel refers to walking and cycling.

This consultation is an opportunity for the community to voice their thoughts on their speed limit trial and it will help council to determine its next plan of action.
