They are responsible for business sustainability, development and management of Council’s property portfolio as well as marketing and communications services for the organisation. Some other areas include information and technology, people and organisational development, governance & legal, financial management, property services, customer service and administration.

As an IT- Infrastructure Services Support Officer you will be responsible for the deliver professional Information Communication Technology (ICT) services that support Council’s strategic directions and deliver innovative reliable information systems. This position involves installation, maintenance, upgrades and support (level 1 & 2 support).

This position will also be responsible for day to day operational functions, such as, Help Desk support taking part in project work, performing necessary housekeeping. Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in information technology e.g. Diploma in Information Technology, MCP, MCSE and/or industry experience gained by practical application over a minimum of 2 years.

Economic Development is responsible for building Liverpool’s economy, engaging and communicating with the broad community, including community capacity building, events and fostering civic pride.

As the Economic Development Assistant you will join a dynamic team in encouraging business investment and jobs growth in a designated regional city.

The position will provide and maintain high quality administrative assistance to the Economic Development team, manage and co-ordinate key business activities including client database management and events management and provide secretariat support to the Council’s Economic Development Committee/s in addition to supporting ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Administration or extensive experience in business administration functions, including preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations and business documents

As a Graphic Designer you will contribute to the development of a positive image and identity for Council’s strategy that will raise the profile of the Liverpool City Council and the community.

This will include providing in-house design and desktop publishing services to the organisation and advise on outsourcing of publications, coordinating the printing of corporate publications and translations.

Developing policies and formats to create a consistent corporate identity in Council publications, thereby contributing to the positive image of the organisation. Taking photographs as required and managing Council’s photographic library.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualifications in Graphic Design or equivalent

As a Customer Liaison Officer working in Councils modern state of the art call centre and Customer Service counter areas, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality information to meet the needs of Council and clients (internal and external) and to promote the image of Council as both efficient and courteous.

This position is responsible for day to day operational functions, such as carrying out effectively all cashiering and receipting of monies for all areas of Council.

Ensuring that all counter and contact centre applications received are submitted correctly with complete information and fees are calculated accordingly for Development Applications, Construction Certificates and other miscellaneous applications, rates rebates, animal registration, halls, bus and casual park bookings.

Lodging and maintaining registration of Development Applications, Construction Certificates, 172 Certificates, Tree Permits, Septic Tank, Road Opening and other miscellaneous applications including hall bookings within Infor Pathway computer system, in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

  • TAFE Certificate and/or in-house training in customer services
  • Appropriate secondary education
