Ever year Liverpool Council hosts a variety of major events and festivals in the CBD, Casula Powerhouse Arts CentreLiverpool Regional Museum and Liverpool libraries.

Each of these events require stallholders, performers, and volunteers.

Our major events provide the perfect opportunity for organisations and businesses to align their brands with ours as sponsors or partners.

If you are interested in participating in any of our events, please fill out the Expression of Interest form.

Liverpool Council’s mobile food truck revitalisation program will deliver great exciting opportunities for the community to experience our diverse cultural offerings through food, social interaction, improved liveability and increased quality of life.

The program will also address one of the current Council’s 100 Day Plan in improving the amenity and activation of a number of our local parks and iconic locations.

Council accepts EOIs from performers and artists who are individuals, ensembles, collectives, or theatre/production companies. Performances can include live music, theatre, circus and aerobatics, performance art, or anything of a performative nature.

Please note that submission of an EOI is used as an expression of interest only and does not guarantee that your performance will be included in one of our events.

Liverpool City Council is seeking expressions of interest from stallholders who would like to trade at our upcoming Winter Blast held in July 2023.

Everybody knows there’s nothing quite as authentic as a European winter – cascading snow, fireplaces & fairy lights, outdoor markets, and mulled wine. This Winter, Liverpool will be transformed into an outdoor wonderland, capturing all the best bits of a European winter (minus the frostbite!).  Don a pair of skates for a lap or two around our skate rink under the stars, sample delectable European treats and beloved winter warmers. Enjoy pierogi, traditional soup, or your favourite german sausage, the choices to go with sauerkraut will be limitless.

Liverpool will be the go-to destination for winter with children’s activities, and food markets to cap off the experience.

This event is three-day festival from Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July, 3pm till 9pm.

After bringing an explosion of colour and flair to the streets of Liverpool in 2022, Starry Sari Nights is returning for another year.

Starry Sari Nights is the ultimate immersion into South Asian culture - a distinct entertainment experience, transforming Macquarie Mall into a gateway to the ever-evolving, rich South Asian culture through cuisine, fashion, dance, music and art.

Starry Sari Nights is a three-day festival from Friday 22 - Sunday 24 September 2023 in Macquarie Mall, Liverpool.To apply, please read the terms and conditions on the Expressions of Interest for Council page and then fill out the form below.

Celebrate springtime in Sydney's south-west with the vibrant flavours, colours and sounds of Latin America at Primavera, a weekend-long festival.

Walk through smoky hawker-style markets as we bring traditional and contemporary Latin dishes to your table; empanadas, pupusas, arepas and birria taco's. Explore dance workshops from Peru, Columbia and Chile, and purchase artisan goods such as textiles, jewellery and baked goods. A highlight will be the main stage program and a colourful street parade every night of the festival.

This event is three-day festival from Friday 20th October to Sunday 22nd October, 5pm till 10pm.

Talofa, Kia Ora, Bula, Kia Orana, Malo e Lelei, G'Day!

This new and exciting event will showcase the beautiful Pacific Island nations over three days in the Liverpool CBD.

Spend your evening enjoying a traditional Hangi feed from the best food vendors from Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, the Cook Islands, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.

Featuring a full mainstage entertainment program, including live music, traditional dances, fashion shows, drumming and fire-twirling performances as well as activities, workshops, markets and giveaways - this new festival is not to be missed!

PUBLIC NOTICE

LIVERPOOL TOURISM & CBD COMMITTEE

Liverpool City Council is calling for expressions of interest for up to 20 nominations from persons who live, work in and/ or own businesses within the Liverpool LGA to be appointed by Council to join the Liverpool Tourism and CBD Committee, an advisory committee to Council. Council will appoint community representatives for an initial term of two years. Committee members serve in a voluntary capacity.

The functions of the Committee are to:

  1. Raise local economic, social and cultural development issues, and make recommendations for solutions and actions;
  2. Advise on the development and implementation of the City Activation Strategy;
  3. Advise on the development and implementation of the Destination Management Plan;
  4. Create, seek and lobby for opportunities that can enhance the visitor economy and/or an economic benefit to Liverpool; and
  5. Report recommendations to council for decisions to be made against Council’s overall provide strategic direction.

The first meeting of the Committee for new members is expected to be held in June 2023. Further meetings will be held bi-monthly.

Council will receive expressions of interest for Committee membership up until 5:00pm on Friday 5 May 2023.
