Celebrate Australia Day with a diverse lineup of live music, dance and performances that reflect the many stories and sounds of our community. Hosted by the ever-engaging MC Anthony Maroon, the stage will come alive with energy, colour and connection throughout the evening. Gather with family and friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and don’t miss the highlight of the night - a stunning fireworks display lighting up the sky at 9pm.

Is there parking? / How do I get there?
Limited parking is available at the Whitlam Leisure Centre, and at nearby Collimore Carpark (9 min walk). There are plenty of parking options within Liverpool CBD which are a short walk to site. Entry points will be on the corner of Hoxton Park Road and Hume Highway - an easy walk from CBD parking, and behind the Whitlam Leisure Centre.
Bus Routes:
Woodward Park is accessible by bus from Liverpool Station.
Route 853 & 869 - Services between Liverpool station and surrounding suburbs, stopping near Hoxton Park Road (2 min walk)
Route T80 - Connects Liverpool Station to Miller, with stops within 2-min walking distance of Woodward Park.
The nearest bus stop is approximately a 2-minute walk from the event entry.
Paths from transport stops to the event entry include a mix of paved and grass surfaces.

Is there disabled access / parking at this event?
Accessible parking is limited and prebooked ONLY. Please email events@liverpool.nsw.gov.au to discuss your requirements with one of the event staff.
Will I be searched upon entry?
For safety reasons, Council staff, event crew and security reserve the right to check your bags upon entry. Please check our ‘prohibited items’ list below to ensure you are aware of what not to bring to the event.
Can we bring our own food?
You sure can, but why would you? There will be plenty of tasty and affordable food options on the evening. Food items will be priced to be family friendly.
Are there vegan / vegetarian / gluten free options?
There will be plenty of food options that cater for every dietary requirement. Please look at our website to see the full stallholder list.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
This is an alcoholic free event any alcohol brought onto site will be confiscated and authorities can be notified.
Can I smoke at the event?
No smoking is permitted within the event site. Please follow all signs and directions of security, staff and police to designated smoking areas outside of the event site.
Can I bring in Eskies / BBQs / Shade Structures?
For safety reasons, you are unable to bring your own esky / barbeque or shade structure. There will be plenty of seating available.
What items are prohibited?
Items prohibited at Australia Day include:
- Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
- Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
- Eskies, barbeques or shade structures;
- Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
- Knives or Scissors;
- Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
- Laser pointers;
- Drones or any other remote-controlled device;
- Bicycles, Scooters, Skateboards, or skates;
- Animals (excluding service animals);
- Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless approved by Council); and
- Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Dogs are allowed on site so long as they are kept on a leash and are well behaved. Council will not tolerate any aggressive behaviour or excessive barking, and owners must clean up after their pets. If this is not adhered to, Council staff reserve the right to remove dogs from the event site at any time.
Can I take photos / film at the event?
Yes, photos can be taken for personal use. In fact, we encourage you to capture your memories of the night and post your social media profiles using the hashtag #loveliverpool. We’ll send you some love and reshare the best snaps on our socials.
Professional photography (including the use of tripods for safety reasons) will not be permitted on the night without prior consent from Liverpool City Council’s Communications team.

Will vendors accept cash?
We strongly recommend you use a credit or debit card to purchase refreshments. Vendors will have EFTPOS facilities available.

No there will not be ATMs on site. All vendors will also have EFTPOS facilities available.
What happens if it rains?
The show must go on! If weather conditions become extreme and pose risk to attendees, performers and crew, the event may be cancelled. Notification will be provided via Council’s social media channels.
Media accreditation?
Media are requested to contact Liverpool City Council's Communications team via communications@liverpool.nsw.gov.au to receive accreditation to photograph, film or run interviews at the event.
