BlakFire Festival is coming to Macquarie Mall from 23-25 August for a deadly weekend of music, food and culture.
From craft makers, music acts and performance, to workshops and cultural experiences, BlakFire Festival will highlight Sydney’s talented First Peoples community.
Come along and immerse yourself in a fresh taste of the oldest living culture for one incredible weekend!

No, this is an all-ages event, family friendly event.
What time does the event start?
BlakFire will commence at 5PM and end at 10PM from Friday 23rd August - Sunday 25th August
Is there parking? /How do I get there?
There will be ample parking available near Macquarie Mall. We also encourage attendees to walk to site or use public transport.

Bathurst Street Carpark – approx. 2 min. walk to site. Free after 6pm.
Warren Serviceway – approx. 5 min walk to site.
Bus Routes - Interline Bus Service Closest Train Station- Liverpool Station –followed by an approximate 8-minute walk to event site.

Will I be searched upon entry?
For safety reasons, Council staff, event crew and security reserve the right to check your bags upon entry. Please check our ‘prohibited items’ list below to ensure you are aware of what not to bring to the event.
Can we bring our own food?
You sure can, but why would you? There will be plenty of tasty and affordable food options that cater for every dietary requirement. Food items will be priced to suit a family-friendly budget.

Does this event have alcohol?
The event will be licensed, and a bar will be available to purchase alcoholic beverages. Bringing your own alcohol is not permitted.
Can I smoke at this event?
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted at this event.
Can I bring an esky/BBQ/shade structures?
For safety reasons, you are unable to bring your own esky/barbecue or shade structures.
Any stallholders bringing a shade structure must have approval from Events staff prior to bringing it on site.
What items are prohibited?
Items prohibited at the event include:
- Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
- Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
- Drones or any other remote-controlled devices;
- Bicycles, scooters, skateboards or skates;
- Animals (excluding service animals);
- Eskies, barbecues or shade structures;
- Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
- Knives or scissors;
- Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
- Laser pointers;
- Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless prior approve by Council; and
- Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.
Can I bring my pet?
Dogs are allowed to be outdoors at the event so long as they are kept on a leash and are well behaved. Only service dogs will be granted permission indoors.
The council will not tolerate any aggressive behaviour or excessive barking and owners must clean up after their pets. If this is not adhered to, Council staff reserve the right to remove dogs from the event site at any time.
We are expecting many young families at this event and any pets attending must be accustomed to children.
Can I take photos/film at the event?
Photos can be taken for personal use. We encourage attendees to post photos to social media and tag @LiverpoolCityCouncil and use the hashtag #lovelivo.
Professional photography (including the use of tripods for safety reasons) will not be permitted without prior consent from Liverpool City Council’s Communications Team.

Are there ATMs on site?
ATM’s will not be available on site.
I am a local resident – how will this affect me?
There are no road closures in place for this event, however please expect heightened pedestrian and vehicle activity at Casula Station and surrounds.
What happens if it rains?
The show must go on! If weather conditions become extreme and pose risk to attendees, performers and crew, the event may be cancelled. Notification will be provided via Council’s social media channels.

Media requests should be directed to our Communications team to receive accreditation to photograph, film or run interviews at the event – communications@liverpool.nsw.gov.au
