Mayor Mannoun congratulates Local Business Award winners

Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun has congratulated the 28 winners of the 2022 Liverpool City Local Business Awards for their commitment to business excellence. Over 300 people attended the event held last night (26 July 2022) at the Holiday Inn, Warwick Farm.

The top accolade went to Laser Sydney, who was named ‘Business of the Year’.  Laser Sydney from Carnes Hill Marketplace is a business that specialises in safe and effective beauty and laser treatment led by owner, Zina Sebastian.

Mayor Mannoun said I’d like to extend a huge congratulations to our winners and finalists of this year’s Liverpool City Local Business Awards.

“Our businesses are the beating of heart Liverpool, whether they are restaurants serving cuisine from across the globe or clothing stores, salons and real estate agencies, more than 18600 businesses call Liverpool home and are fundamental in establishing Liverpool as an important economic hub”, added Mayor Mannoun.

“The Liverpool City Local Business Awards presents an opportunity to recognise our established businesses and the dedication that owners and staff have put in to helping shape our city and its growing economy.

“Liverpool is a significant hub for jobs and a driving force behind the South West economic contribution to Greater Sydney.

Mayor Mannoun said that Council continued to do its bit to support businesses and encourage jobs and economic growth.

“Council continues to support our local business community through a focus on vibrant activations of our City and recent game-changing events including ‘Most Blessed Nights Street Food Market’ and ‘Starry Sari Night’ very much helped to bolster our local economy”.
