Types of Volunteering
Volunteer teams help to restore native bushland at locations across the Liverpool Local Government Area.
Volunteers help with Weeding, Litter Removal, and Native Tree planting. You don’t need to have any special skills or knowledge to be an environment volunteer. All you need is enthusiasm for improving your local area. Training, supervision, and PPE are provided.

Events volunteers like meeting new people and care about making sure everyone is involved. These roles are a great opportunity to be part of important activities in the Liverpool LGA and to get to know your local community.
Liverpool City Council facilitates a growing range of events to engage our local community. Events focus on celebrating our diverse cultural identities, citizenship, and building connections in our city.

Liverpool City Council manages several important historical sites, museums, and galleries. Volunteers in these spaces help members of the public engage with Liverpool’s significant contribution to the history and art of Australia. Volunteers may also assist with setting up exhibitions and collating information about the collections.

Library volunteering often involves a set time commitment and additional checks and training. All library volunteering is currently suitable for volunteers aged 18 years and over.

Supervision
Volunteer activities are supervised by passionate staff who work to make Liverpool better. Council staff members are responsible for managing the work volunteers do, and making sure the volunteering environment is safe as well as rewarding.
