Situated by the Chipping Norton Lakes in Angle Park, the Chipping Norton Recreation Centre, best known as the Boatshed, has timber flooring, high ceilings and large windows that let in lots of natural light, a large veranda, is surrounded by parklands and is close to a playground and fitness area.  It is a popular venue for weddings, engagements and birthday celebrations.

Please note that this facility has no disabled access.

The Chipping Norton Sailing Club also accesses the centre during weekends and have races on Saturdays; for this reason hirers are asked to keep the back and side areas clear as per the below floor plan, and to ensure that there is ample access through the parking lot.

Standard Charges

Damage Deposit Bond
Casual and permanent pays a refundable damage deposit.

Damage Deposit Bond – High Risk Events
Birthday functions – 15 to 40th birthdays inclusive, adult functions, weddings, engagements, hens and bucks parties, Christmas parties (before 23rd December - no facilities are open during Christmas period) receptions and any other function that Community Facilities Management determines as a high risk. Refundable bond to customer pending no breaches occurred from event.

For last 4 hours of functions that Community Facilities Management determines as a high risk event (refer to Additional Bond: High Risk Events)
Fees to apply to evening bookings only Monday to Sunday. Non-refundable. CFM to be notified by Customer Service accordingly.
