1. No Busking Permit fees are payable. However, Busker Permit holders must adhere to the Terms and Conditions as outlined in this document
  2. No more than five persons shall carry out busking together or as a group at any one time, at the same location
  3. A Busker may place a receptacle on the ground for any offerings, but shall not ask members of the public for money nor approach them, or sell goods of any description
  4. Busker Permit must be displayed at all times
  5. Each busker must maintain, at their expense, an all risk Public Liability Insurance Certificate – minimum $20 million is required
  6. Buskers must provide Photo Identification on submission of application eg Licence, Passport
  7. Busking is only allowed as specified, within the area as designated in the Macquarie Pedestrian Mall, in the locations as specified on the map provided overleaf, and valid only for the dates and times specified
  8. This permit may be cancelled by an authorised officer of Council at any time, by notice in writing addressed to the registered person, upon receipt of any complaint that the person is in breach, of any of these conditions
  9. A Busker shall not:
    1. Obstruct or hinder a passageway for pedestrians or vehicles
    2. Cause inconvenience, annoyance or obstruction to any person
    3. Create any nuisance or unreasonable noise
    4. Beg or gather
    5. Operate closer than one metre from the door of any premises that is open for business
    6. Operate in an area adjacent to a place of public worship
    7. Create a threat to public safety
    8. Affix any items, and/ or mark/draw on any footway or paved area
  10. A Busker shall not perform using loud speakers or any form of sound amplification or by means of electricity amplified instruments, unless otherwise approved by Liverpool City Council
  11. A Busker shall not wear or display any advertising matter being of a commercial or offensive nature
  12. Dangerous acts and spruiking are strictly prohibited
  13. Offensive activities or behaviour are not tolerated
  14. A Busker shall comply immediately with any lawful direction given by the Police or authorised Council officers, including the cessation of any authorised busking activity
  15. Parental/legal guardian consent is required for Buskers under the age of 18 years and minimum age of 12 years
  16. Parent/legal guardian MUST accompany Buskers under 18 years of age whilst busking or ensure that the Busker has in their possession your signed authority indicating an approved supervisor of at least 18 years of age is accompanying them
